Did you know that VHL (von hippel-lindau) is a genetic disorder where patients develop tumors throughout their body their entire lifetime? I myself have VHL and just last April had brain surgery to remove a tumor from my cerebellum. This disease also affects my daughter, my sister,  my nephew and also one of my great aunts. 
I have signed up for the VHLA walk to raise funds and awareness for VHL. The money raised will support patients and their families and will fuel research efforts. VHL research has led to the development of 9 lifesaving drugs used to treat cancer and could someday lead to a cure for all cancers!
