Did you know that VHL (von hippel-lindau) is a genetic disorder where patients develop tumors throughout their body their entire lifetime? We had never heard of VHL until we found out that Mira—our son Joshua's new bride—has this rare genetic mutation.
We are walking because we want to help Mira and Joshua as they work to adjust their expectations and plans for their future together in light of this new reality.
We are walking as part of our own journey to learn about this disease and how we can support Mira and Joshua and others like them.
We are walking to raise funds and awareness for VHL. The money raised will support patients and their families and will fuel research efforts. VHL research has led to the development of 9 lifesaving drugs used to treat cancer and could someday lead to a cure for all cancers!
Please support our fundraising goal by making a donation to our team. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by VHL and possibly even cure cancer through VHL research!
Thank you for your generosity!
