This is a fundraiser that hits extremely close to home. In 2024, both my beautiful daughters, Dakota and Jordyn and myself were diagnosed with this cruel genetic disorder. We unfortunately have a lifetime of doctors appointments, blood tests, MRI’s and as a lot of you know, I in the last few years had a tumour removed due to this brutal disease. But like for me and the other 500 Australian’s living with this nightmare, this is an every day struggle, an everyday fight, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Did you know that VHL (von hippel-lindau) is a genetic disorder where patients develop tumors throughout their body their entire lifetime?

I have signed up for the VHLA walk to raise funds and awareness for VHL. The money raised will support patients and their families and will fuel research efforts. VHL research has led to the development of 9 lifesaving drugs used to treat cancer and could someday lead to a cure for all cancers!
